Dear Headteacher/Principal,
APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSPORT TO THE COURTYARD
I am writing to let you know that the procedure for applying for funding for the transport of school and college parties to the Courtyard has changed.
In future, applications for grants to cover the cost of transport to events and activities at the Courtyard should be made directly to the Sylvia Short Educational Charity on the standard application form on the charity’s website and not to the Courtyard Theatre and Arts Centre.
I must emphasise that this change in procedure entails no change in the charity’s policy of supporting schools and colleges accessing events at the Courtyard and the normal dates for the submission of grant applications will not apply for these applications. It is only required that the charity is given three weeks notice before the scheduled event or activity.
The SSEC is introducing this new system in order to restore direct contact and communication with all schools and colleges applying for any of its grants. It is the intention of the charity to raise its profile with institutions, parents and carers throughout the county and thereby improve awareness and recognition of its contribution to education and cultural opportunities.
For further information please contact the charity’s administrator: enquiries@sylviashort.org
Yours faithfully,
Paul Murray
